Information on the use of cookies and local storage technologies pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy)
Last updated: March 16, 2026
1. What are Cookies and Local Storage Technologies
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's browser, where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits.
In addition to cookies, there are other local storage technologies such as <strong>localStorage</strong>, which allows websites to save data in the user's browser persistently. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is not automatically sent to the server with every request.
Cookies and local storage technologies are used for various purposes, have different characteristics, and can be used both by the owner of the website being visited and by third parties.

3. Types of Cookies and Technologies Used
3.1 Technical Cookies (Necessary)
These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and cannot be disabled. They are set in response to actions taken by the user, such as setting privacy preferences, logging in, or filling out forms.

3.2 Analytics Cookies (Statistics)
Analytics cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources to measure and improve site performance. They are only used with explicit user consent.
Currently, the site does not use its own analytics cookies.
If advertising campaigns are activated (see section 4), their related analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) may set analytics cookies subject to user consent.
3.3 Marketing and Profiling Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites, display relevant ads, and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They are activated only with the user's explicit consent.
As part of advertising campaigns, the site may use the following tools:
Google Ads and Google Analytics
Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Used for search and display advertising campaigns, remarketing, and conversion analysis. May set cookies such as _ga, _gid, _gads, _gcl_au with durations ranging from 1 day to 2 years.

Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram Ads)
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland). Used for advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, remarketing, and conversion analysis. May set cookies such as _fbp, _fbc with durations up to 90 days.
Meta Privacy Policy | Meta Ads Preferences
Note: These cookies are only activated if the user consents to the "Marketing" category via the cookie banner. Without consent, no marketing cookies are set.
4. Third-Party Services
The site uses third-party services that may collect technical data or set their own cookies. Below is a complete list of integrated services:
4.1 Google Fonts
The site loads typefaces (Outfit and Playfair Display fonts) from Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). During loading, the user's browser establishes a direct connection to Google servers, transmitting the user's IP address. Google states it does not use this data for profiling purposes. For more information: Google Privacy Policy | Google Fonts Privacy FAQ
4.2 YouTube (Google)
The waiting room display may embed YouTube videos via iframe. When a YouTube video is loaded, the user's browser connects to Google/YouTube servers, which may set their own cookies (e.g., VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, PREF) and collect usage data. This content is only displayed on the waiting room display (not on the public website). For more information: Google Privacy Policy
4.3 Instagram (Meta)
The waiting room display may embed Instagram posts via iframe. When Instagram content is loaded, the browser connects to Meta servers, which may set their own cookies and collect usage data. This content is only displayed on the waiting room display (not on the public website). For more information: Meta Privacy Policy
4.4 jsDelivr CDN
The site loads JavaScript libraries (Chart.js for statistical charts and HLS.js for video streaming) from the jsDelivr CDN network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). During loading, the browser transmits the user's IP address to CDN servers. jsDelivr does not set cookies. For more information: jsDelivr Privacy Policy
4.5 wttr.in (Weather Service)
The waiting room display may make API calls to the wttr.in weather service to show weather conditions. The user's IP address and the configured city name are transmitted to the service. wttr.in does not set cookies. This service is only used on the waiting room display.
5. Data Transfer to Third Countries
Some of the third-party services listed above (Google, Meta, jsDelivr) have servers located in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
For Google and Meta, data transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Users may obtain more information about transfers and safeguards by contacting the Data Controller.
6. Legal Basis
- Technical cookies and localStorage: do not require consent as they are strictly necessary for service provision (Art. 122 Italian Privacy Code, as amended by Legislative Decree 69/2012, and recital 66 of Directive 2009/136/EC)
- Third-party analytics cookies: require prior user consent
- Marketing and profiling cookies: require prior and explicit user consent
7. How to Manage Cookies
7.1 Via Cookie Banner
On first access to the site, a banner is displayed that allows you to:
- Accept all cookies
- Reject non-necessary cookies
- Customize preferences by category (technical, analytics, marketing)
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Manage Cookies" link in the site footer.
7.2 Via Browser
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings:
Warning: disabling technical cookies may impair the proper functioning of the site. Clearing localStorage will result in the cookie banner being displayed again.
7.3 Disable Interest-Based Advertising
You can also manage advertising tracking preferences through the following services:
These services allow you to manage the tracking preferences of most third-party advertising tools.
8. Consequences of Refusing Cookies
Users are free to decide whether or not to allow the use of cookies. However, please note that technical cookies are necessary for the operation of the service: disabling them may prevent the site from functioning properly. Refusing analytics and marketing cookies does not affect browsing, but limits the ability to receive personalized content and advertisements and to contribute to service improvement.
9. User Rights
Under the GDPR, users have the right to:
- Access their personal data
- Rectify or delete data
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
